I am obsessed with lungis as I am obsessed with the textiles from The Northeast of India.

The body of this piece is made from a Lungi. Cut with a raglan sleeve, it creates a strong, held structure around the shoulder caps. Details on the sleeves come from a textile sourced from The Northeast India, placed deliberately to support the geometry and weave of the fabric.

The construction is kept symmetric—square to square, side to side—allowing the textile to speak through form. The cuff is attached unconventionally, departing from traditional shirt construction. Finished with pockets, it is long, double-breasted, and designed to be worn as a dress or as an overshirt.
